Benefits for Chinese citizens

As an agency, we guarantee all our partners safe cooperation and a loyal partnership! The advantages of working with us are as follows:

WE CAN ISSUE A MONTENEGRIN VISA FOR CHINESE CITIZENS

We can provide you with:

  • Chinese-speaking drivers
  • Chinese-speaking guides
  • Catering in Chinese restaurants in Montenegro (6-8 dishes + broth)

THE PROCEDURE for ISSUING VISAS for MONTENEGRO TO CHINESE TRAVELLERS IS easy for us. All you need to send us is:

  • A copy of the passports of the passengers,
  • Dates of entry and exit from Montenegro,
  • Names of entry and exit border crossings in Montenegro

This information must be submitted at least 3 days before arrival in order for the visa to be issued. After this information is sent to us, the agency sends an invitation letter that the visitor should print and display at the border crossing to the police when entering and leaving the country.

Before issuing visas, in accordance with Montenegrin law, the agency must book accommodation for the group in advance. There must be at least two travelers in the group before we can send an invitation letter. We also have very good cooperation with the Montenegrin government, so we also deal with visa requirements for Montenegro for business trips.

Chinese tourists have a great interest in Montenegro, which is a small Mediterranean country, located on the Balkan peninsula in the heart of Europe! Here visitors will find Norwegian fjords, Swiss mountains and forests as well as Mediterranean cities. More than 50% of the land is at an altitude above 1,000 meters! There are 40 lakes in Montenegro, 80% of the territory is under forests, natural pastures and meadows. Here, on only 0.14% of Europe’s territory, there are 2833 plant species, accounting for almost a quarter of Europe’s flora. About 15% of the territory of Montenegro is protected by law.

Montenegro may be small territorially, but it is big in some other things like:

  • Montenegrins are the second tallest people in the world! We used to be first, but the Dutch are currently 0,002 cm taller than us.
The tallest train bridge in Europe is Mala Rijeka. It was the tallest railway bridge in the world at the time it was built. The record was help for almost 20 years, until 2001, when the bridge on river Beipan in Guizhou was built.
  • Montenegro has the deepest canyon in Europe – Tara. The river with the same name that flows through the canyon is called “The Last Tear of Europe”. The water is so clean and unpolluted that people usually drink from the river. The canyon is 1,300 metres deep, making the Tara River Canyon the deepest canyon in Europe. It’s the second deepest canyon in the whole world, and the deepest canyon is Colorado in the UNITED STATES.
  • The largest lake in the Balkans – Skadar Lake is in Montenegro. It is located on the border between Montenegro and Albania. The Bojana River connects the lake with the Adriatic Sea. Skadar Lake is home to the largest number of bird species, over 279 species, among which are some of the last pelican colonies in Europe.
  • Montenegro has the longest sandy beach on the Adriatic coast – the Big Beach. This is the favourite destination in the Mediterranean among kitesurfers. They are regulars on the beach during the summer season. The sky on the beach is filled with kites from every corner of the world.
  • Montenegro is home to the southernmost fjord in Europe. The Bay of Kotor is a winding bay of the Adriatic Sea in the southwestern part of Montenegro. The bay has been inhabited since antiquity. Well-preserved medieval towns of Kotor, Risan, Tivat, Perast, Prcanj and Herceg Novi, as well as their natural surroundings, are the main tourist attractions.
  • The largest one-piece vineyard in Europe and the amazing wine cellar Šipčanik, which is located in the basement that used to be a military base for aircraft. Today it is a perfect tourist attraction as well as a real sanctuary for wine lovers!
  • … And many other points of interest make this country one of the most desirable tourist destinations not only in the region, but throughout Europe. Lonely Planet proclaimed Montenegro one of the world’s top 10 destinations for travelers around the world.

Having all this in mind, it can be said that Montenegro is a destination that is increasingly popular among Chinese who, as we said, are increasingly coming to Europe. Montenegro has so much to offer to Chinese tourists, while being one of the safest tourist destinations. There are no robberies, although this is an issue facing many of the world’s most popular destinations today. The biggest concern when travelling to Europe for Chinese tourists was theft. In some popular tourist countries, Chinese tourists have become the main victims. European countries must strengthen protection for Chinese travellers.

After Asia, Europe is the second largest destination for Chinese tourists. Chinese tourists, as a group, are the largest consumers on the international tourism market. Last year they spent $258 billion, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Two-thirds of Chinese expect to increase their travel budget in the next 12 months. Today they spend on average about 300 euros a day in top destinations such as France, Germany and Italy. France is the first European destination to receive 24.6% of Chinese tourists, followed by Germany (15.6%), Switzerland (9.2%) and Spain (8.7%). 80% of Chinese tourists come in their spare time, 20% for business trips and mostly travel in groups to discover Europe (3-4 countries per stay), while individual trips and fit travelers tend to increase. The largest part of the budget spent by Chinese tourists is allocated for shopping (37%), accommodation (18%), catering (18%) and long-distance transport (17%).

The majority of Chinese travellers to Europe are young and urban (54% are between 26 and 35 years old). What is very important is to know that Chinese tourists are ultra-connected. China has a total of 688 million Internet users, of which 600 million use mobile phones! This means that 90% of them, or 40% of the entire population, use the Internet… When it comes to digitizing Chinese travelers, you should know that in six years, the WeChat smartphone app, which was just an instant message for a smartphone, has become a digital giant with a base of 900 million active Chinese. Thanks to this application, China has turned to mobile payment. WeChat has just arrived in Europe and is a divine gift for tourism professionals, because mobile advertising is an important vector that increases visibility and attracts these prestigious Chinese tourists.

Regarding the mode of travel, package tours are still very popular, but the number of Chinese tourists travelling to Europe on their own is also increasing. Data collected from travel bookings generated by the CTRIP Website and Huayuan International Travel show that 67% were package deals. This was mainly due to language barriers, differences in visas and culture. Personalized products in tourism, such as solo travel and customised travel, accounted for 33%, and the proportion continued to grow.

Demand for European customised travel bookings via travel platforms increased by 127%.

Chinese tourists are heading for France, Germany and Italy. The World Cup in Football organized in 2018 brought popularity to Russia and Croatia.

The most sought-after European destinations in the first half of 2018 were: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and thanks to the World Cup in Russia, Croatian footballers brought a lot of Chinese tourists to the Balkan region. Croatia became the most popular tourist destination for Chinese travelers in 2018. Data show that the number of trips to Croatia in the first half of the year was 2.5 times higher compared to the previous year. Interestingly, about 60% of Chinese visitors to Croatia were women. This was an excellent opportunity to develop new tourist products and customised tours, not only in Croatia, but also in neighbouring countries. More Chinese now visit Serbia and BiH thanks to visa-free politics.
