Entry requirements for Montenegro

Covid-19 info

The new measures for entering Montenegro are valid from September 11 to 24 this year

The new measures in the fight against the corona virus come into force on Saturday, September 11, and are valid until September 24, 2021.

Entry into Montenegro is allowed only if Montenegrin citizens and foreigners meet one of the following conditions:

  • 14 days must pass from revaccination for vaccines given in one or two doses;
  • Mandatory possession of a negative PCR test, not older than 72 hours;
  • Possible and positive PCR test that is older than 14 and not older than 180 days;
  • The person must have a negative rapid antigen test that is not older than 48 hours;
  • Only persons under the age of 18 (Montenegrin citizens and foreigners) enter Montenegro unconditionally.

 

Note: Citizens of Montenegro and foreigners with temporary residence who do not meet any of the prescribed requirements are sent to isolation, which can be interrupted by a negative PCR test on the sixth day after crossing the border.

Visa is required for Indian citizens.

Diplomatic and consular post are eligible for visa approval. In case you cannot reach consular post of Montenegro, you can contact the nearest diplomatic consular post of the Republic of Serbia.

Ukraine

Citizens of Ukraine can enter and stay in Montenegro for a period not exceeding 90 days if they have a valid travel document i.e. passport. Visa is not required.

UAE (United Arab Emirates)

UAE citizens can enter, transit and stay in Montenegro for a period not exceeding 90 days with a valid travel document i.e. passport. Visa is not required.

Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan citizens must obtain visa to enter Montenegro. Diplomatic and consular post of Montenegro is eligible for visa application form.

IMPORTANT: Citizens of Kazakhstan from 1.04. to 31.10.2021. can enter, transit or stay in Montenegro up to 30 days witha valid travel document, i.e. passport.

Schengen, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Romania, the USA and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Citizens from countries can enter, transit and stay in Montenegro in the period not exceeding 30 days. In case the visa is valid less than 30 days, visa holders can only stay until the duration of their visa.

Aslo, holders of foreign travel document from these countries or holders of business travel cards issued by members of Asican-Pacific economic collaboration (APEC) can enter, transit and stay in Montenegro in the period not exceeding 30 days, and the longest until the expiration of the residence permit or the business travel card if the card is valid less than 30 days.
